Take a hike

The wonderful thing about photography is it never fails to deliver. You can look at a photo several years later and remember the day, the emotion and hopefully the joy of the experience. I love to hike in Acadia, whether it is a casual walk on the carriage trails or a more strenuous hike up on of the many mountains it is always a great experience. The photo here is looking towards the Bubbles while hiking Jordan Pond I  remember the day well, a very warm and humid day. The hike was really fun with good friend Rox. I remember seeing several people walking the trail and hopefully they still have wonderful memories and photos of that day. I know many years from now I will remember the day and the joy of the hike and being with friends.

Grateful

On a cold January day I realize how grateful I am for the warm summer days. The late June early July mornings when all is so green and full of life. The wildflowers in abundance everywhere, and  are a photographers dream! I am already longing for those days when life seems a bit easier and less stressful. Last summer I enjoyed each day to its fullest and plan to do the same this summer. In these short days of winter it can be hard to fully enjoy the days with limited light. But, I challenge  everyone to still get out and see the beauty that winter offers. Feel the fresh invigorating air, breath it in and be grateful for the cold days of winter. It too soon will be the hot humid days of summer, when we long for the coldness of a winters day!
